Rachel Covello is an award-winning entrepreneur, business development professional, speaker, author, diversity consultant, photographer, and LGBTQ non-profit leader.
In 2017, she left her beloved nonprofit in Pennsylvania and moved to Florida where she created OUTCOAST.com.
Rachel is also an avid event photographer, and has captured photos for LGBTQ organizations around the world (IGLTA, NGLCC, NLGJA, and Out & Equal).
Rachel lives with her wife,?Margaret, along with a puppy, cat, and 5 chickens. Together, Rachel and Margaret enjoy?boating, gardening, trying new local restaurants, and running their online seafood magazine, www.fishmongerapproved.com! “Work hard, play harder” is Rachel’s motto.

In 2017, OutCoast Photography was asked to capture images for the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association Annual Convention. Four year later, international and global conferences have been a cornerstone of our business. We have traveled the world, capturing images of event attendees, food displays, keynote and panel speakers, galas and celebrities. From Martha Stewart to Deborah Cox, our collection of celebrity images continues to increase. We?ve even been featured on the Martha Stewart blog. We?ve worked with the IGLTA, NGLCC, NLGJA, Out & Equal, Tampa Boat Show, St Pete Boat Show, and more!

Our schedule is flexible, although we tend to book out a month or two ahead. So reach out with dates and let’s make it happen!
Our key focus areas are travel blogging, conferences, real estate and marketing images. But we have a team of photographers that we sub-contract or refer to that will meet any and all requests. So if you’re looking for a wedding photographer or portrait photographer, we’ve got you covered.
OutCoast Photography travels around the world to capture events. Although we love to capture local (Tampa/St Pete Region) conferences, and our rates reflect our local pricing, we?re also delighted to venture outside of our region.
We do require that 2-5 days events and conferences outside of the St Petersburg area provide hotel accommodations (and basic food reimbursement) to our staff (1-2 people) so we can be onsite for last minute requests. Being onsite also allows us to get enough sleep to be ready and alert to capture high quality images throughout your event, not to mention minimizing the unnecessary lugging of equipment back and forth each day.
For one-day events, we?ll drive up to 2 hours outside of the St Petersburg, FL region without requiring overnight accommodations. However, we will require?additional compensation for mileage and time beyond 30 minutes of travel.
If your event is out of state, or more than 2 hours outside of St Petersburg, we require travel accommodations for at least one night.
Note: If your event is somewhere exotic and travel accommodations are included, we?re willing to negotiate on standard event rates. But it must be somewhere super special for us to consider this option. Feel free to ask!
